“Prayer is the only way to be close to God and to converse with Him as a friend.”
The Avila family came together in faith and unity to celebrate the Feast of St. Teresa of Ávila, commemorating the saint’s profound love for God and her unwavering spirit of prayer and surrender.
The celebration was marked by a series of spiritually enriching activities, including the Novena to St. Teresa, accompanied by intercessory prayers and hymns, followed by 13 hours of Adoration. The faithful then participated in the Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Martin Pattarumadathil, Vicar of Holy Trinity Cathedral.
The celebration culminated in an inspiring skit competition, which brought to life the saint’s exemplary journey of total surrender to Christ—mind, body, and soul.
These meaningful celebrations instilled in every heart the timeless message of St. Teresa of Ávila: to trust in God wholeheartedly, remain steadfast in prayer, and surrender ourselves completely to Christ in our journey towards eternal happiness.
May the spirit of St. Teresa continue to inspire the Avila family to grow in faith, love, and devotion!
